Great Bear Ironworks Featured in Freehub Magazine Film

Terrace-based Great Bear Ironworks has been featured in a new film by Freehub Magazine, highlighting the intersection of art and mountain bike culture. The film explores how public art installations—such as the iconic Terrace Wolf Pack and other wildlife sculptures created by blacksmith and artist Steve Rogers—enhance trail networks and outdoor spaces across northern British Columbia. By blending creative expression with the rugged landscapes beloved by mountain bikers, the feature celebrates the growing role of art in shaping unique community identities along the trails.

The Art & Trails project brought together three artists and one author from communities across Northern British Columbia to capture the spirit of mountain bike trails and share the stories they hold. This is a story of how art and culture transcend the physical act of mountain biking to create a deeper connection to the land and its people.
