Terrace Wolves Featured on New Sherwood Mountain Brewing Beer Label
Great Bear Ironworks is pleased to see its Terrace Wolf Pack sculptures featured on the new Coast Mountain Pilsnerfrom Sherwood Mountain Brewing.
The label artwork brings together several elements that are distinctly Terrace and the surrounding Northwest BC landscape, including the mountains, forests and the familiar silhouette of the Great Bear Ironworks wolf sculptures.
The original Terrace Wolf Pack was created in collaboration with Skeena Salmon Arts and the City of Terrace. The six life-size steel wolves were designed as individual animals, each with its own stance and character, and have become a popular feature and photo destination overlooking the city.
For the Coast Mountain Pilsner, the wolves have been incorporated into an illustrated mountain scene alongside a hiker, reflecting the connection between art, the outdoors and the adventure culture of the region.
It is a great example of how local artwork can take on a life beyond its original setting—and now, the Terrace wolves are travelling a little further afield, one beer label at a time.

Prince Rupert, BC – The Kaien Island Trail Enhancement and Recreation Society (Kaien Trails) is proud to announce the opening of the Cloudberry Trail, a vibrant addition to its vision of an interconnected trail network across Kaien Island. This scenic 1-kilometer path weaves together art and nature, featuring a striking installation of three deer sculptures created by Great Bear Ironworks, including a tribute to the island’s beloved Hammy the Deer.

In partnership with the Kaien Island Trail Enhancement and Recreation Society, Great Bear Ironworks is proud to be producing a series of captivating sculptures to be installed along the Cloudberry Trail. Spanning approximately 1 KMfrom the Prince Rupert Recreational Complex to the junction near the Kal Tire area, this scenic trail will feature a sculpture installation at the turnaround point, enhancing the visitor experience and creating a beautiful destination along the path.
Massive steel sculpture celebrates community and place
Nestled in the rainforest on the coast of northwestern BC is a towering Grizzly bear sculpture fashioned from dozens of lengths of steel. The 14.5-foot sentinel stands watch over the newly completed Oviatt Bike Park in Kitimat – a gift to the community by long-time Kitimat resident, businessman and philanthropist, Jack Oviatt.
